Smiles

The parent thundered into my office
Fit to scream for a while
I gave him the most precious gift
I shared with him a smile.
The teacher was fit to resign
Her enthusiasm was dispersed
I sat down and was positive
And my smile became hers.
A student was set to fight
His anger couldn’t be compared
We talked through all the issues
And my smile was then shared.
Sometimes our attitudes are negative
And hopelessness shines through
But find a smile and share it
And it will come right back to you.

In a good mood, on a Friday at work, I was smiling at everyone and getting them back. There you go.
